Energy from Biomass
Energy production from Biomass occurs through combustion of both liquid (for instance from vegetable oil) and solid biomass (from wood shavings and dedicated cultures in general). The energetic production from Biomass is eco-sustainable, since it is neutral as far as CO2 emissions are concerned. In fact, it results in a balance, as the CO2 which is generated for the production of energy is balanced by the photosynthesis process generated by the vegetable biomass.
FRI-EL Green Power operates on the field of the production of electrical energy both from liquid and solid biomass.

Biomass advantages
The use of Biomass, both liquid and solid in substitution for the traditional energy sources offers considerable advantages:
- it reduces the energetic dependence from abroad
- has very little environmental impact, since there is a balance between the CO2 that is produced and the one which is absorbed by the plants
- it allows for the recovery of otherwise abandoned land
- it fosters economy and local employment through the use of biomass of short weaving factory
- allows disposing of scraps and waste in an ecological way, enhancing such residues and obtaining clean energy.
