History

FRI-EL Biogas Holding was founded in June 2007 by the FRI-EL Green Power group with the aim of diversifying energy production from renewable sources. Since its foundation, FRI-EL Biogas has benefitted from FRI-EL Green Power resources and competences and its staff ability from the financial, legal, technical and administrative point of view.

The first year was wholly dedicated to creating partnerships, projecting plants and attaining permissions.
In 2009 the first biogas plant entered production in Codroipo, near Udine.
In 2010 ten more plants biogas plants entered in production.

In 2011 further 2 biogas plant, each with 1 MW installed capacity, become productive.
