Facts

Photovoltaic power plants, also known as solar farms, generate electricity by directly converting sunlight into electrical energy through photovoltaic cells. They are a renewable and sustainable energy source that reduces dependence on fossil fuels and greenhouse gas emissions.

 

Photovoltaic power plants vary in size, from small rooftop installations to large utility-scale plants, with the largest plants producing hundreds of megawatts of electricity. They are becoming increasingly competitive in cost compared to traditional energy sources, and their maintenance costs are relatively low. Photovoltaic power plants can be installed in a variety of locations and provide a reliable and stable energy supply with minimal environmental impact.
