Facts

In order to combine respect for the environment and energy efficiency, in 2018 the FRI-EL Group undertook a new entrepreneurial initiative: the management of urban waste treatment plants.

The basic idea is to enhance the organic substance contained in the waste and produce electricity, thermal energy and biomethan (the share of methan obtained from biogas) through biological processes. At the end of the processing soil improvers for agriculture (compost and digestate) are produced.

Management, development and administration of the Waste to Energy sector are entrusted to FRI-EL Biogas Holding S.r.l.

  • CONTRIBUTION TO ACHIEVE THE EUROPEAN OBJECTIVES OF REPLACING NON-FOSSIL FUELS (RENEWABLE IN TRANSPORT SHOULD BE REDUCED AT 14% BY 2030).

  • MINIMIZATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS DERIVING FROM TRADITIONAL WASTE MANAGEMENT.
